Biography

Rebbetzin Miriam Yerushalmi holds an MS in Psychology and Family Therapy. She was trained at Pepperdine University and is uniquely skilled at combining behavioral and humanistic approaches to address a wide spectrum of psychopathology. Miriam applies essential Torah principles to empower individuals to release their inner healing potential while aligning with life’s challenges. Additionally, Miriam leads a non-profit organization, providing a resource for the neediest to access appropriate Mental Health care. Miriam Yerushalmi fuses essential Psychological and Torah principles with her background in Mental Health to offer a unique perspective on essential life issues, ranging from relationships and parenting to self improvement.

Miriam is a sought after speaker who lectures internationally and has over 1000 audio classes available and has authored multiple books on marriage, family and mastery of emotional self-integration. She writes regularly for Jewish Press and lectures for Torah Anytime and Bais Midrash Lenashim. She has presented workshops for Nefesh International training therapist. Noted for her contribution to contemporary women’s issues, Miriam applies the spiritual dimension to relieve common stress and enlighten the pathways towards a more fulfilling life.

Since 2014 she began working for SPARKS as a counselor, in addition giving teleconferences and webinars on the topic of overcoming stress and anxiety as well as writing articles for their magazine called "True Balance" and other duties. She continues to teach a weekly class in the main synagogue in Crown Heights, NY (770) as well as in Long Island, each of which started over 15 years ago Miriam also works in private practice with families and children, restoring healthy functioning through multi-sensory systems approach. From panic disorders to addiction to depressive disorders, anxiety, anger management and ADHD, Miriam imparts self regulation techniques where clients learn to develop tools for a balanced and fulfilled life. When couples are discouraged and differences in marriage seem irreconcilable, Miriam’s techniques not only hold marriages together but the relationship deepens to a more enriched state, better than at the time when they were newlyweds.

Additionally, Miriam has authored 8 highly acclaimed book series called “Reaching New Heights"- on marriage, Mikvah, prayer and meditation, the Temple Within, Tanya, health and happiness helping the reader to reach more self mastery of emotional self integration. Her books are endorsed by Dr Avraham Twersky, Rabbi Shloma Majesky and Gedale Fenster She also authored 30 children books helping children understand themselves better and the world around them.
